Adventurous Comfortable Camping

I have a confession to make. I am a recovering camping snob. Yep, it’s true.

You see, there was a time when I thought if you weren’t sleeping outside under the stars, under a lean-to, or in a tent than you weren’t really camping. You might as well be sleeping in a hotel room if you’re going to sleep in a RV or camper is what I thought.

That is until we had our first child and suddenly a pop-up camper sounded great…and it was! Our first camping trip in our new pop-up was over Thanksgiving in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas. Sleeping off the ground in 28 degree temps with a young daughter was heaven on earth.

Three kids later, and many miles & countless nights making memories in all types of weather,  we finally had to retire the pop-up after when the cost of repairs outweighed the benefits.

Back to tent camping. We’ve made it work and have a Taj-Mah-Tent to accommodate our four kids and two dogs, and I have enjoyed getting back to my roots with tent camping. But, I have missed the ability to have the camper always loaded, and with the exception of packing some food and clothes, ready to roll on to our next adventure on short notice.

And then I discovered the SylvanSport GO.

I have had a secret crush on this camper trailer since I first saw it several years ago. It combines the greatest elements of tent camping and off-the-ground trailer camping.

And then I learned Sylvan Sport was so much more than just the GO. I knew I needed to have them on the podcast.

In this episode we sit down with Katlyn Mobley, SylvanSport Digital Content Specialist, A.T. Thru-Hiker, and Adventure Guide to discuss the company’s playful personality, purposeful culture, and never-ending commitment to innovative product design.

Inspired by their deep roots and heritage in outdoor equipment manufacturing, SylvanSport designs products that make playing in the outdoors easy, fun, and accessible. In 2004, SylvanSport set out to make the most innovative pop-up camper and has evolved into a line of some of the most uniquely designed and durable camping and gear trailers ever made.

Put simply, SylvanSport is about freedom, creativity, and excellence.
